gorgeous color. Like the China Blue G

Before our Bugeye Sprite leaves the paint booth, it is first baked–twice in this case–and then, after a day or two, wet sanding can begin.
This too is laborious. Javier of Jeff’s Restorations first used 1000-grit paper before moving to 1500-, 2000- and then finally 3000-grit paper.
It’s a lot of labor but gives the paint that glass-smooth finish.
Then he could buff and wax the paint.
Javier used 3M Perfect-It three-part buffing compounds–coarse to smooth–and then finished off the job with Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid wax.
