Some of the most fun times I have had with friends have been in the garge working on cars or at the track hanging out after a day of racing.

Planning the ultimate experience with some fellow car buddies? Whatcha doing? F1 race at some far-away track? RV setup at Le Mans? Weeklong drive through the Alps?
With good friends, does the setting really matter?
How we had fun with a group of friends this past weekend: Hanging out in a garage while eating brats. No a/c, no jumbo TV, no six-figure cars surrounding up. Drinks came from a cooler that’s likely held bait at some point.
Lots of smiles, lot of laughing, lots of catching up.
The occasion was Oktoberfest. The location was a friend’s family garage across the state.
We drove over in our Porsche 911 Carrera. Despite I-4’s reputation, we experienced fairly smooth sailing. Did the drive and back on a single tank.
Our day there: We ate, we told stories, we ate some more. It was a simple, rewarding day with some friends we don’t see often enough–and a reminder that sometimes simple is just right.
