In late February of 1964, a young and talented racer took delivery of this very Porsche 904 GTS. Within a few months, the young driver took the 904 racing in a number of hill climbs and sportscar championship races.
That racer mentioned? None other than future Porsche factory driver Udo Schütz.
Schütz eventually sold the 904 in the mid-60s, where it went on to continue to compete in motorsport competitions. The Porsche then changed hands some four times before coming into the care of legendary racer Bobby Rahal.
Find this 1964 Porsche 904 GTS available from RM Sotheby’s with an asking price of 2.1 million Euros, or approximately $2.25 million.
