“Series 1.5” Jaguar E-type upgraded with five-speed gearbox

Can’t decide between a Series I or a Series II Jaguar E-type? This example offers traits from both.

Sometimes referred to as a “Series 1.5” or “Series 1½,” this Jaguar was built when the factory was transitioning its tooling from Series I production to Series II production

Most notably, this E-type was upgraded with a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission in 2014, and a modern electronic ignition distributor was installed in 2021.
