Winning honors at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance puts you in elite company. Winning best in class twice at the renowned concours is something only a few cars can claim. This Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport is one of those.
Under the care of John Ridings Lee, the Alfa Romeo underwent a 32-month restoration to full 6C 1750 Gran Sport specifications. Invoices topped more than $262,000–and this is in 1990s money.
After that, the Alfa Romeo displayed at Pebble Beach, winning best in class in 1991. Lee brought the car back to Pebble Beach in 2001, where he repeated that performance. The 6C 1750 currently holds a FIA Historical Passport (good until 2029), making it eligible for many vintage racing events, including the Mille Miglia Storico.
Find this 1930 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Series IV Spider in the style of Zagato for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $700,000-$900,000.
