This 1983 TVR Tasmin Convertible has incredible potential. Extremely rare. Highly original. Solid and straight. Low mileage. Just came out of long-term ownership. And, it’s less than $10,000.
The car has been parked since 1994, and it’s not running. It’ll need some work to get it back on the road and looking show-worthy.
It uses a Bosch fuel-injected, Ford 2.8-liter Cologne V6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
TVR built this car in the U.K. from 1980 to 1987. It’s quite the change from the swoopy lines of previous years. The Tasmin was more luxurious, too, with features such as air conditioning, leather seats and a walnut dashboard. The company looked for it to battle the Triumph TR7/TR8 as well as the Lotus Eclat and Elite.
