Just found out the that the TII I bought years ago to swap a V8 into is not a TII. Has the TII hood & wheels, but it's a GXL. Pulling the project out of mothballs to get started back up, but figuring the NA diff won't stand up to the 331 Anyone got a diff & axles they're willing to part with at a reasonable price? I'm in NW Georgia, would like to find something relatively nearby (100 miles or so) to avoid shipping, but will bit the bullet if no local luck. Got plenty to barter with, and a little bit of cash as well, lol, whichever works.

If you are not planning on drag launches or drifting, the NA rearend holds up pretty well. On top of that, if you break it, it is no more work to swap later.

P.S. I have an NA diff in my Turbo II swap and it is holding up just fine. (I realize we are talking about a different league in torque).

Thanks Rob! I was planning on using it as a hill climb car, so there were several launches planned for it I think I'm about to axe the project & just part it out, I've got 5-6 project cars right now, and this has become one of the lower ranked ones lol Now to just find a buyer for a 331 with AFR185 heads, a TKO500 tranny, a granny's speed shop kit, and a lot of other goodies lol

Granted I don't have a V8, but I do run 10" slicks and my N/A rear has held up fine, including hillclimb launches.

That said, I'll be switching to a Ford 8.8 IR setup for more strength and cheaper gearing options.

Might want to try this guy if you haven't yet. Looks like he's got at least one axle, don't know about the dif. NMNA.
