Actually I was waiting for friend of mine last evening , had nothing to do for 2 hours so I grabbed intake and started playing with it.
I was missing injector insulators , they came in couple days ago. Green low impedance injectors were installed . I have to make 4 fuel rail mounts, old ones had to be removed.
So slowly going forward. Looks like Cable throttle system will be the easiest way to go.
Couple weeks ago placed an order for lower and 25% stiffer front suspension springs .
It will take couple more to have them made.
Today finally BMW drive shaft yoke was dropped off
I will have it all done next week .
Had to spin 3 inserts to adapt smaller bolt to larger holes.
So glad to see more progress; this build is one of my favorites
This build is great, keep up the good work, dump as many pictures as you would like

I've always liked the stacked injection systems. And to be completely honest with you I am very jealous of this project.
That is seriously sexy. Wanna make me one for a small block mopar?
I will paint it and finish up all the welds ETC. No color plans yet.
And hopefully it will perform as good as it looks
You will dyno tune it right? My M119 already has megasquirt but I havent dyno tuned it, it is completely stock besides the ignition system, I'm very interested to see the gains from the ITBs
I will be running Autronic . Yes it will be tuned .
Today Made some Fly filters
Really happy the way it came out
Had time to Pick up drive shaft from the shop.
Why is that little orange car always staring at those throttle bodies. What does that grin on its face mean? Keep an eye on that one, I don't trust it.
old 911 with crappy mechanical fuel injection .
That's why is angry. It's has lungs but mouth is not big enough to breath
I had some free time to switch one side today .
This is the effect . Very happy with outcome and its stiffer but not hard as a rock

Just found this thread, love it. I'm working on a m119 powered w111 220b. Just to let you know, the r129 and w124 m119 have a front sump two peice pan that is almost the identical shape as the original front sump m117 two peice that was in w108 cars. Also, was the Volvo flywheel the correct centerbore and bolt pattern?

did you buy that reluctor wheel or fab it? what is the volvo crank pattern?
Volvo used 60-2 , that is on a flywheel .
This wheel came from megasquirt suppler.
wheel pattern is 36-1
I just cut out the inside to make it fit on to the stock m117 engine crack pulley .

I meant the bolt pattern to attach the flywheel to the crank. I know the m119 pattern, 40mm radius with one on 38mm, 55mm
Centerbore. What was the Volvo?
I have some updates.
Let's consider that drive train is all bolted on together . When I put the tranny in gear and turn the crank pulley with long bar wheels are turning , whats even better in the correct direction .
Drive shaft is connected and all bolted on .
Had an issue with center bearing not aligning up with rubber damper on bmw drive shaft set up .
After remaking engine mount got it perfectly straight. While trying to achieve that engine had to be move much closer towards driver side.
Very soft factory engine mounts were replaced with double polyurethane set up . Practically was a bolt on application .
New heavier engine mounts. Pure steel .
And the beauty sitting on the blocks .
Tomorrow I will be finishing tranny cross member .
I want to be able to move the pig on its own power before flighing out to Europe on 19th this month
WOW, what a thread!
Your fabrication skills are amazing, the car is beautiful, and I'm digging this build.
Cheers!
Gas tank was removed yesterday .
Monday Acme radiators is picking it up for acid bath .
It's not horrible but defiantly not usable in current condition .
Trans cross member is compete and installed .
Played today with clutch connection a little .
I will needed to have made a custom flex line between master and line on the tranny
Today I got clutch line made up, installed and tested .
Officially we got a working clutch , it is very foot friendly. Feels just like my stock s60r clutch. I think I have little to much free play at master push rod . Will get that adjusted later .
Now working on fuel pumps , 93 500sel set up will need one bracket to be modified . Looks very simple .
Fuel lines to rail will need to be made , This should be done by the end of the week .
pics tomorrow
