Cant stop looking at the last picture.

Also, not that you probably care what anyone says, but it's not ruined ... it can go back to stock in an hour or so.

Thanks! It's what I was going for in my head. When I was doing the 308 GT4, I probably would have done something similar had I gotten further down the suspension and wheels road with it.

It's about a solid 5-6 hrs to throw the coilovers on. It looks like it goes on faster but with the control arms and sway bars it took a bit longer than anticipated. Nice spending some time underneath it again.

Is it too low to be usable? It looks pretty sweet!

Yes! Will it stop me from doing anything I want to do in it? Nope!

Heck yes! Perfect height!

Guess I'm a purist.  Way too low for me, I like a two finger gap between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender.

Those wheels and coils officially make this the best looking Mondial on the planet.

The front has a two or more finger gap, concentrate on that end and ignore the rear. You'll be ok.

That rang a bell and you said basically the same thing about my 240z lowered on SSRs in that thread. I guess we will have to keep your fingers away from my wheel wells.

Had to leave a little gap up front to leave room for the lowest part of the car which is the spare tire well. Also 40 profile tires up front so if I did a taller tire it would reduce the gap but I probably won't for a long time.

My main thing was that it's low and flat level to have the same balance. Stock, the cars have more gap up front and less in the back. This keeps the same ratio and flat look but just on 17s.

whoa.  I did not anticipate how humungous the wheel gap was until you tucked them.  That's a wild improvement.  Hows handling down that low though??

It was pretty great before and really amazing now honestly. I have to pay attention to railroad tracks and roadkill more now but it hasn't stopped me from putting 100 miles on it last Sunday.

It looks amazing!

Beverly Hills Car club seems to have cornered the market on the Mondial. They always have a few for under 30k. The odd thing about the site is that most the cars currently do not run.

I am wondering if this is a way to avoid having to have a mechanic to get all of them running well or if you are a CA dealer you have to smog the cars when they sell and that is difficult as well.

They buy a lot of "as is" stuff from estates. Mine was from a old surgeon whose widow sold it. I know this because she provided them with a copy of his death certificate that I got when I got the title. surprise

Ferrari parts can be expensive so many times they sell them as they found them to maximize profit. After owning mine for a while now, I'm more comfortable and familiar with them that I could potentially buy a non running car if the price was right. Confirm the timing belt didn't snap and rule out the dumb things and get a clearer picture what you're dealing with.

I think there is a perception that BHCC has the market on them because no other dealers have a few in stock but private forums have them for sale by owner on Ferrari Chat where word of mouth and long term relationships with clubs and technicians usually give more insight on the history of the car. Those cars tend to get snagged fast.

My fingers aren't all that fat.  I just like bump travel and some ability to get over stuff.  My 911 is 3/4" lower than stock and even with that minimal lowering I've got to be careful going over things.  Angle into parking lots, into/out of my driveway, etc....

Put another 60 miles on this morning and hit 86k miles. Still need to replace some vacuum hoses and I may take it back out to the HSR Fall Historics at Road Atlanta next weekend. I'm loving the pre-Fall cooler temps in this thing.
