I think you need to worry more about Will bringing his Volvo next year, I can only hope to provide mild competition to him.

Hey our national challenge is back in Ohio this august, should be a good E36 M3 show again. I will try and bring a hired gun again too lol but hopefully my truck won't break down twice,.

No 70 proof Gatorade either, I hope!

Didn't his car blow a head gasket at the next event?
Now I wonder.
I thought I had all the important wiring hooked up and cranked it over but it isn't building oil pressure. I'll look into that more tomorrow, probably just a missed wiring connection.

interesting....that may be closer for me than going to the SE National challenge this year, which has moved farther away to Alabama. no thanks...and since our own region (NE) always holds it way up in New England when we're stuck here on the extreme south of the region...
WHere and when? I don't see it on the SCCA national challenge page schedule.
Yep, forgot you guys were Great Lakes region.
Just talked to some of our guys, and there's a strong possibility that the top 6 MR drivers from our region will come (with 3 cars, TBD, but definitely mine, possibly bluej's GRM turbo e30, and then either Chris's monster Mustang or Nick's e28....), and just skip our local event.
We're going to discuss further at tomorrow's local event.
I discovered a connector that I forgot to plug in. I thought it was for the (removed) HVAC system but it wasn't. It started right up and I got it up to temp and the cooling system burped. New fans are wired in, they sound much better than the old ones with shot bearings. Hopefully they cool adequately.
Now I am putting the fenders and bumper back on and tidying up the wiring. Hopefully Bilstein finishes my shocks soon so I can get it on the road.
Just called Bilstein and my shocks are now at the front of the queue. Hopefully that means they will be done soon.
Just got a call from Bilstein, my shocks are finally done. I should get them back by next Thursday in time for the race on Saturday.

Excellent! I will try and pursuade some of the other MR drivers from the DET region too. Mostly I want to find a co-driver so I can split the cost of gas on my rig lol.
I already have vacation days off for that event so as long as the car is ready, I am ready. (truck is ready too)

Did some cleaning up around the garage today and made some lightweight door pulls to get rid of the armrests.
