Looking at Loweguy's C4 build thread and the '89 C4 targa he got for 5.5 large. There was talk about what the later cars were worth and that got me to looking locally on the Craigs. This came up:

Same amount of money, the big sports car or the little MR2? Little car, hard to park. Big car, impossible to park. Both two nice to park at the curb, but Ferraris and McClarens are found parked at the curb so maybe its ok after all. The little car is really little and the big car has space for the golf clubs and the suitcase and maybe even a folding bike! Which would be more fun on Highway One north of San Francisco?

Even with the minor recent challenges I've had i 100% endorse these. It is amazing how much car you get for the dollar and those later cars have some pretty good power. Replacement parts are cheap and they are fairly simple. The entire front end tilts out of the way so working on the engine is easy.
I have owned many much faster cars, but am yet to own one I think feels as special.
