There is a company called odometer gears which sells replacement nylon gears. I don't know if it is the same as my mercedes though, the nylon gears turn to much with time and strip out.
Yes, that guy that does those gears is a reader and I have used them to fix BMWs. Not sure it is the same system in the old Mercedes, but we will get it figured out. Thanks for the tip.
