So I thought I'd share this from this past weekend. This is my 87 Novakar on the grid at VARAs Spring Classic at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch. Notice the CM sitcker on the side of the car. These older F500s are cheap to own and maintian, currently I'm the only person vintage racing one but there are several cars set to run with SVRA at Road America in 2021. Basically they are capable of formula ford lap times for the price of a formula vee.

Yes, JG autocrossed one.
I bought mine almost 7 years ago. I used it for autocross, then last year I started to bring vintage racing it as well. (I have a Datsun I also run). My car is the 3rd Novakar built.
My finishes are OK but the lap times are off. I'm still running the obsolete AMW engine (Rotax 494 waiting in the wings) plus I've got some minor issues to sort. I'm skinny and the seat doesn't quite fit me right, it wasn't an issue at autocross but I need to redo it for road racing. I also need to work on the suspension set up a little bit.
