Seems like everyone has that next purchase on their radar. What's yours? I realize it's not that old, but I'd still love an E46-chassis BMW M3.

So true! For me, I'm hoping to wrap up my current 3+ year Japanese car build and get into a LBC..
I've never had a British car before, but several years ago I saw a finned Sunbeam Alpine for the first time, and it's been heavy on my mind ever since (I don't care about the Get Smart jokes or "It's a girls car"... it's got great lines and for some reason just works for me).. As is always the case, I've got to wrap up a few of the current projects before I drag one home, but it's getting closer- and my wife is softening to the idea
Currently being tempted by TII RX7s, although I'm currently debating if I forget about road cars for a while and just get an old, uncompetitive sports racer instead.
Peugeot 505 wagon. Just spotted one sitting in a driveway today so I'll have to stop by to drop a note soon.
XRS.
(Sold the 20v AE92, want something with a more modern climate control system and from this century for a DD.)
I plan on selling the Mustang as soon as I get a couple things done on it and then hunting for a 911.
Volvo 122. In Ontario, finding a reasonably rust free car is akin to Unicorn hunting.
I want to meld the 122 with a Miata suspension and a 302 drive-train.
Okay, I'll bite. My radar casts a large net and includes: --Nationalities: French car, an Eastern-bloc car, and/or a Dutch car. --Styles and eras: Brass-era car, anything really boxy or ugly, and a 1920s large touring car. --Specific cars: Lotus Elan and/or Espirit, VW Bus, 1983-84 Rabbit GTI
That's probably enough for now...
Carl
I have:
I need one of the following and will have in the next 2 years.
or I may build an early corvair with a porsche 3.2. We already have the 66 with the rear LS1, so this makes sense :)
I've seen 2 Esprits on the Yahoo list come up recently that were pretty interesting: A S4s for ~18K needing paint and some interior work and a 99, I think, V8 that was repaired by Guy to better than new after a crash and dash electrical fire for 23K. I've done the Esprit thing, so I'll pass those on. Either, I think, were a bargain and I would lean to the S4s as the ultimate Esprit.
For me it's a RWA Midget set up for vintage racing. I'd love a bugeye but they are just out of my budget.
I'd purge all MG belongings for the right vintage Mini.
Shoot, I just passed up a pretty clean 122S Volvo for 2500 at the last swap meet I was at.
Next on my radar is a convertible. Just haven't decided which one.
69 Mustang Fastback, 68 suicide Thunderbird, no wait 930 Porsche, 308 Ferrari, um, 72 Torino 428, no I mean a 05 Ford GT, ooooh yeah a Exocet.... and a
aw crap.
My name is Steve and I am an addict.
Well, it's not a girls car, but girls like them!
I love the looks of the Alpine, especially in race trim.
