seriously, why is the board at a huge font size? My coworkers can read it off of my screen from the hallway...
I can still read the screen at 50% zoom on my desktop... (60% is about where I feel the text size should be.)

double spacing all the posts I think it what is bothering me.... and the incessant "The Latest" on the right. Think how many more lines we could see if everything wasn't double spaced!
LOL, I've popped in briefly 4-5 times today, and it seems like something is different every time I've been on.
I really only browse on my phone/tablet, but I'm not seeing anything disagreeable.
This is.. .. . ummmm. Ya... . .
I will hold off commenting on this until V2.0 comes out as there have been so many comets that I think the people behind the scenes need a bit of time to catch up on all the comments.
I'll say, I don't hate it. It will certainly take some getting used to, but honestly, it's not that bad.
The fonts are different, the colors are different, and the spacing is different. In a month or so I won't even notice it.
Thanks for taking the time and expense of keeping this little part of the world operating. Even if we are some thankless SOBs at times.
In reply to Toyman01 :
I wouldn't say we're ungrateful sob's... just offering constructive criticism on a new product that is replacing a much used, often taken for granted old product.
I figured it out. This new skin is like all season tires. They do nothing really well. Trying to do both a computer based and phone/tablet based skin is going to be a compromise resulting in neither being as good as it could be.
At the moment it is much better on my Iphone7 than on Chrome. I have not tried it on my other browsers yet.
I am sure that there is lots of tweaking that can and will be done so I will just keep on keeping on for now.
Making posts and threads look like articles? Do you really want to do that? I would think that you would want to keep that separated so board posts and opinions are not mixed up with official GRM stuff. Why do you want the whole board to look like a GRM staff member wrote it?
I have found one advantage with all the space between things on the PC accidental clicks on things is much less likely to happen. I was always voting down things by accident. I think this format will help eliminate this.
Wow, that was fast, things have taken a huge jump upwards in usability in the last couple of hours! Text now reflows properly when I change the font size, and the left margin is much better!
Hmmmmm, interesting. I think it will take a little getting use to but then so does everything else in life too.
The thumbs at the bottom does a great job separating the post from each other. Y'all are doing great. Have a drink and relax from the beating.

NO! That's part of the new LCD tanning feature.
Very happy you guys are starting like it more. We are working on a couple more adjustments that might make it better, too.
Thanks for bearing with us through day 1.
The new forum look shaping up nicely. Thank you for incorporating our feedback.
May as well add on to it: There's a lot of space between where the "Latest Topics" list ends and the bottom of the page (I count five blocks worth). That list of new topics could be expanded downward so whoever the advertiser is on the bottom (Koni as of this moment), the birthday block, Featured Readers ride, and bottom two web articles have better visibility.
That's probably pretty low on the list but there it is.
For those that want the old forum skin (I asume this to be a temporary thing). Log in to Classicmotorsports and access they forum that way.
I first logged into the site around 8:20 am EST, and the old format was still in play. My next click, the format had already changed. As the day has worn on, ive noticed 3 or 4 changes, which is actually really responsive, especially considering this is a media company, and the forum is nice-to-have, not a must-have. Kudos GRM team.
First time using a PC, I have been looking at it on an android earlier.
My first thoughts are that it looks kind of like the connection with the server was reset and the page half loaded in my browser. Kind of broken and incomplete
But it also kind of looks like the old Windows 3.1 "High Visibility" setting for the visual impaired.
I am interested to see where this goes.

That's why I never make comments like that, be it a presidential election or new forum software.
