About six grand for the kit plus shipping to the US plus the doner plus a bunch of miscellaneous stuff...yep I'm in
Oh god i hate cars like this with very few exceptions.
This is now the second exception ever. I need this.
Nope that RS200 looks very "kit-car." Sure it looks cool while on the road but fails close up inspection. The Facebook pictures show the awful fit/finish on the doors and roof.

only twice, ever, and yeah they dont exactly fit together like youd expect from a ford product. more like the unfinished kit car on the facebook page
The car on the left is a Lancia Stratos. Of course, it's European only, and they do make kit cars now. I would believe that the one pictured is a kit car. I believe that they use a Toyota engine and transaxle in a mid-engine layout for excellent reliability and parts availability.
The Stratos is one of my choices for a kit car.

A Lancia Stratos, or a replica of one.
In reply to ryanty22:
Lancia Stratos.
EDIT...sniped by everyone...
I am a huge fan of the RS200, and I would give a kidney for a real one. Of the two replicas(?) pictured, I'd take the Stratos.
Lancia Stratos or Hawk HF.
edit: double sniped.

Whew. A quick check on my local craigslist did not turn up any Lancias, kit or otherwise. Saved ... for now.
Top Gear U.K. had a funny review of the HAWK. (Stratos replica) It held together about as well as you'd think---- for a kit put together in a tiny garage by blind folks with no hands. I recall Clarkson not being willing to test it's top speed for fear it would burst into flames, or kill him.
If I'm buying a kit-- it would be a Beck Spyder-- and I'd put Beck, or VW emblems on the nose, leaving no doubt that no, it was not "real". I'd tire quickly of answering the same question over and over, and over.
Hawk makes the Stratos kit.

I yearn for the day when I have room/time/$$$ to build an Alfa 3.0l powered Stratos in my garage. The lap they did with one on Top-Gear was absolutely classic
