My dad has asked me to ask any of you who know about the big inline 6's that were in the Ford pickups. The 300 inline 6 I think is what he was interested in, specifically if anyone knows what the dimensions of the connecting rods were? length, width and diameter on the crank end? He heard a rumor that they might be able to be used to stroke a motor he is building for an antique tractor used for pulling competitions. Thanks ahead of time for any info you guys might be able to supply.

Don't know about tractor motors, but we used the crank from the 300 in a 240 block and ended up with a 310 or 315 or somewhere around there that would pull the teeth out of your head. IIRC, the stroke was something like 3.98 and the 240 had a 4" bore. The only special parts were the pistons, the intake and headers. It's a little fuzzy, because that was around '74(WOW, 35 years ago?) Boy, that car made me a LOT of money on the street. Ford used to put out a performance parts book that had all dimensions and interchange info in it, that was available over the parts counter.
