Having to replace the fuel pump on my f250. I have the plastic tools you slip onto the line then push onto the release,  but I have a stubborn one. Any tricks you've had work on stubborn releases. (Man i hate these things)

Blow them out with compressed air as much as possible, dirt can get inside and limit travel or make things difficult to slide. Also soak it down with penetrating fluid for lube.

Remember to press the lines together (don't pull them apart) while you fully insert the release tool, before pulling them apart.

Do these have the 2 piece thing that you allegedly squeeze together or do you have the clip you pull out or do you have the old metal style end?

As you are inserting the tool, push in on the line, and twist a bit if you can.  Don't be pulling until the tool is firmly in place.

I'm pushing in as far as I can. These are the $15 plastic kit type. Not the nice ones. I've sprayed pb on them too.
