You have? Me too! Which tells me that they are pretty easy to spot. The aftermarket apparently has not noticed this fact. This very board is full of adds for The Tire Rack (they don't carry brake pads or rotors for the front of the ST, only the rear) and from Koni (25% off on rear shocks, oh, we don't make them for the front). Sure they have the odd product here and there, but every time I see something that a GRM enthusiast would want, it's not available for the front. You'd think they would make these things in sets. They even make complete sets for the standard Fiesta, and I'm not even talking about B-Spec stuff.

It's FWD people, it will need some upgrades on the front too!

Well if you do find upgrades, I want your cast offs for my standard fiesta. Please...

The rear pads are shared with the 00-07 Focus, which is probably why there are more options. The rear shock isn't shared, but I'm guessing it's "close enough" to something else popular. For a while, even OEM front pads took a couple months to get.

It's hard to find OEM shocks for my Evo X, an enthusiast car that has been around for most of a decade.
Aftermarket shocks? Nope.

After test driving the 3-pot Ecoboost Fiesta, I've been wanting to get in a new FiST to compare. I've noticed the part situation as well, and its a little concerning...

Hawk and CarboTech seem to have brake pads available for the ST.

Welcome to my world. Same problem with the first gen Forte. Front pads are unobtanium, front struts are as well now that I bought the last set of Bilsteins in the country.

In reply to I'm sad to hear this, but yet also thankful, as the FiST is on my short-list. Although by the time I'm actually ready to buy things may be better. I hope.

Yeah, front options suck. I have a Mazda2 so I built my own. It's not THAT hard. A fab shop could probably do what I did for a reasonable cost.

I have 32k on my setup so far.

It's not just the X. I wanted to find Evo VIII struts to see how close they were in dimension to my Volvo, and my apparent only options would be PSS9s or used. And used are DAMNED hard to find.

Plus, apparently, Bilstein no longer offers their rebuild/revalve service for OEM struts and shocks, only aftermarket.

They revalved my OEM shocks a couple years ago, when did it change?
