I wish you hadn't posted this. I was just talking the other day about selling the m5 and the corolla to buy an 05 subaru turbo wagon w/a manual, but I couldnt find any nearby and I live outside springfield mo. so THANKS! :)

Not sure where you're located but there's a used dealer in northern IL who trades in a lot of rare-ish Subaru's. Here's a couple on their lot right now:

2005 Outback XT w/ 5-speed - http://www.pursuitauto.com/detail-2005-subaru-outback-2_5xt-used-8465966.html

2005 Baja Turbo w/ 5-speed- http://www.pursuitauto.com/detail-2005-subaru-baja-turbo-used-8640942.html

They had another '05 Legacy GT wagon with the 5-speed but it just sold... I'm eyeing up their '08 Forester XT 5-speed but the price is pretty unreasonable. Have a browse through...

I bought my 2006 Outback XT in Denver and there were several manual transmission cars to choose from.

seems to be more outback XTs for sale with manual transmissions than Legacy GT wagons.

The 87k miles was the ringer. gotta be under 100k because I tend to keep my cars for a long time. those tend to run about 15-17k. its tough because $5k would make the m5 perfect and its still got under 100k.
