Interesting indeed! Not the first time I've seen one. There is a carbon fibered and flared body race E31 in Europe with a heavily boosted M52 (2.8l).
What an odd find! Wish we had more info on how it ended up that way...
"turbocharged M power engine" doesn't really tell me a whole lot. It's a six, which that car never came with, but that's all I can tell.
