Dang it, when are y'all gonna start a C3 build? I want one so bad but I need to know they can be made to drive decently without resorting to body-swapping with a C6.

... He didn't say WHICH Thursday...
Edit: I should say that I've of the biggest disappointments in my car-guy life was finally getting to drive a c3. What a let down!
Love mine. They can be made to work properly. But it does take investment. And, I'm good with Thursday.

I got to drive my first C3 and my first B13 sentra se-r on the same day. The sentra was better, and I totally wasn't expecting that.
Swmbo wants a c3 something fierce. I have evil thoughts of an lsx turbo swap. Having ridden in a few, i fear for my life if that were to happen.
I must admit the need for GRM to have a C3 never crossed my mind. C5 Z06, now, that I could see. But JG bought a Mustang instead.

They did do a c5 FRC which isn't exactly a z06 but not too different.

Sure hope so. I was always in love with the late C3s and the very first over $5k "toy" I ever bought was an '81. I got it before my wife and I were married. We took wedding photos with it. It was supposed to be the car we drove away happily ever after in, but it poured badly that day, so I left it at home. It was pure early 80's when I bought it...tan/gold paint with gold, orange and red pinstripe. I had the stripe painted black.
In reply to Klayfish:
There used to a brown late C3 with stripes in my neighborhood back when I first moved here. On paper, brown C3 with stripes sounds terrible, in reality it wasn't bad at all, aesthetically speaking.
My thoughts on C3s have fallen into two camps: 1. Embrace its E36 M3tiness and relegate it to only going straight unless i'm oversteering to my death by swapping in a stupid big block, or 2. Put in a much smaller displacement newer motor and try to figure out how to make one comfortable as a road trip car.
I've driven several stock small block C3s and was always left with the feeling that MAJOR changes were needed.
