Checked out the HD Theater lineup this past weekend. I was watching Bangla Bangers/London Chop Shop, GT Racer, Isle of Mann TT coverage, some auction show I didn't catch the title of, as well as some others. It's wall to wall wheels over there!
Some notable shows on HD Theather
Yeah I'm loving Wheeler Dealers on HD Theater, makes me want to start an American version of the show.
I also recorded the GT Racer episodes this weekend, Le Mans, The Ring, whats next? Makes me long for a Alfa GTV to play with.
You can't talk with a british accent? You havent been watching the show long enough!
"Oily fiddly bits"
Regarding "Chasing Classic Cars", I used to live about a mile from Wayne Carini's shop and often walked his lot when the store was closed. Okay, I drooled on some of the cars, but most of that will wash off.
Never met him personally, but he doesn't come off as much of a 'regular guy' on the show.
I think having a shop like Mr. Carini's would be just about heaven.
I found it funny on Wheeler Dealers when they did the Vette all of the bashing of American car electirical systems. Other than that I really like the show. I just watched the 205 GTI show, I want one of those bad.
Wheeler Dealers is one of my favorite shows right now. The short guy kinda bugs me sometimes though, "I'm a little disappointed, you haven't done anything to the whole car!" Shut up and get your hands dirty ;)

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but with his line of business and the cars he deals with, you almost can't be a normal person I imagine, since the people who buy from him are probably the most anal retentive people in the world, it rubs off on ya.
Plus he's a yankee, so he'll never be a regular guy.
It's my current favorite channel as well. It could go either way though - they have the pimp my ride-type shows and American Chopper. Hopefully they go more in the direction of Wheeler Dealers. I agree a US version would be great.
I love Wheeler Dealers...but I want to punch Lipu in the effin face. Chop shop is such a terrible hackneyed approach to cars...the dude couldn't even pass a driving test to participate in a contest that drove in a straight line. I swear, more love, focus and care goes into one of MTV's (now aired on SPEED) pimped out rides than the cars coming out of that shop. It sucks because I do watch it when its on because there is nothing else...but it makes me mad everytime I do.

I agree 1000%. That show is so much worse than pimp my ride. Btw, in Asia Discovery has Discovery Turbo which has almost identical lineup with HDT. Not sure why there's no Discovery Turbo in the US.

That sux, I get HD Theater on Dish, I like the Grassroots style of the English programs
I am another fan of Wheeler Dealers! That is a great show! HD Theater has a great selection of automotive shows!
They had the Isle of Mann TT on this year as well. Speed dropped that several years ago and I missed watching it every year. If Directv doesn't fix there conflict with comcast over Versus channel I guess I'll miss the Dakar this January. It sucks cause it's the only thing worth watching in the winter.

The coverage of the Mann TT was F'in GREAT! I was watching that last night myself. I had forgotten how close those guys ride to each other on Manx streets.
