I always say "define X". In this case what is drama?
I may not be able to articulate this well but my steady consistent laps are ones where I hit your marks each and every time, which makes sense.
I define a flier as one where you ever so slightly push the envelope over the normal marks. The issue with a flier is that subtle things may not go your way; crosswinds, which move the car and blows dust on the track (desert track issues) may alter the line ever so slightly. The tires may start to get more heat than they can handle and start behaving differently toward the end of the lap etc. Basically you may be working with a moving target and so pushing that ragged edge my cost you time.
So in the case of a flier the car may over rotate and I may catch it perfectly; it wasn't planned but nor would I consider it dramatic................some of the passengers I've had in the Datsun have very much felt differently.
For the sake of the question I would define drama as over driving the car.
