well all, I've decided to tackle rebuilding a spare engine to swap into my '94 Miata CSP machine, and I need a bit of advise. what cars would I be looking at to pull an engine out of (I know a '94-97 Miata obviously and a Protege and some Escorts of similar vintage, but I'm talking specifics), and of those, which will have the least amount of adapting/futzing around the Mazdaspeed stock parts site to get it to fit in a Miata? also, any of the possible donors have any advantages in power or torque or drivability that weren't due to the ECU tuning? like better heads or slightly higher stock compression ratio or slightly more agressive cam profiles, for instance. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
