Hey all since I am terrible at the technology stuff... I need a bit of help. I am looking for Wilwood part# 120-5094. It is a caliper with a 1 inch throat and famous from the Mopar Action "disk o tech" article... should have a msrp of 150 or so.
I have scoured Summit but can not find it, any other leads would be great!
Thanks,
That's the old Dynalite part number. I believe its out of production. The 120-6815 Forged Dynalite works with the current AR Engineering adapters. The 120-6815 runs around $140/caliper.
Do you already have the AR Engineering adapters? That's what Ehrenberg used when he upgraded the Brick in the late '90's. The Wilwood calipers won't bolt up to the Mopar factory caliper adapters.
I can check with my Wilwood rep tomorrow to confirm the 120-6815 Forged Dynalite superseded the old 120-5094.
Thanks Rob! That is exactly the information I am looking for.
I will be purchasing the AR caliper adapters this week if all info falls into place... (I already bought the last set of ac delco rotors off of rock auto.)
Rob, how is the pad selection for the 120-6815 caliper? I am looking for something that can handle the heat of track days.
The front end will be 200# lighter than stock and on 16" rubber, maybe 17" but it will be RB powered.
I'd say the pad selection is pretty good:
I'm a dealer for both AR and Wilwood. I don't have those brackets or calipers in stock right now. If you don't have any luck sourcing them I'll be glad to help.
So what are you bolting them onto?
Pad selection for the forged Dynalite is actually pretty stupendous. FYI, the Dynapro is also available as a direct replacement, and it's stiffer than the Dynalite. There's also a six-piston version of the Dynapro that will fit the same adapter with almost exactly the same wheel clearance.
If I can find the adapter... Mancini is a bust until I call them... they are an awesome company to work with...
and WOW thanks Keith for the info. I bet a 6 puck system is a bit too much for a 12 inch rotor but they look nice and light and for what I want should be perfect... 3200# A body that will be ugly and driven hard.
Oh and Rob don't hate me but I am looking to bolt this stuff on to a 71 Dodge... Like I said RB powered...
Think RB 25det powered...
I run the six piston on an 11" rotor with a 2400 lb car. Don't be scared.

Well at least its not a small block Chevy.
In Mopar circles when you say RB powered, that means a 413-426-440 power. If you want to toss a turbo on one of them and stick it in a '71 Dart or Demon I'll encourage that!
I use a caliper which takes that pad on my E30, lots of cheap pad choices available. It's a fairly thin pad though, so you're going to go through them a little quicker. I just ordered a set of Raybestos ST-43's for myself.

I'd like to see this question posed on a variety of other car forums and see if any of them get an answer to the question in a half hour with good follow on posts within the same day AND without anyone giving anyone else flack over their choice of car, project direction, etc.
This forum rocks.
I just want to update a bit... I did some sleuthing around the interwebs and made some phone calls...
But first off what a great site!
If anybody is interested: The AR engineering company has discontinued (so says Mancini) the adapter plate to run the Wilwood caliper on the 11.75 inch C/R body rotor...I am sure there are some floating around or I could fab some up but I have too much to fab on the body/chassis to deal with it so I just may go this route.

Not exactly low buck but for what I want in the future it will work...I still need to check with Dr Diff to see what he has.
Well thanks for the info, and once again a great group of people!
