Stock speed limiter is 6300 rpm on these engines. The gearing works really well when you use all of those revs. You can try a larger diameter tire on the rear to get the end of the drag run right at the upper RPM you want.
Let me know what your target HP goals are and give me a rough curve for those HP goals and we can see how the graphs look with the new info.
Crap... I will go back and edit these later so the scaling is the same. I didnt realize it was different....
These charts should tell you how much force you have available at each vehicle speed. The higher the number, the faster it will go...
Projected hp will be 185rwhp/190tq or 325/340 if i can get the turbo in. Possibly a 100 shot of nitrous on either one.
In reply to Dusterbd13 :
These charts are the 185 HP based charts.
Do you know what the power curve will look like for the 325/340 tq? Do you want me to use the same curve and just add HP everywhere across the range? I have NO idea how to graph in the 100 shot. I assume it would create a pretty sharp spike that may not translate well to this type of graph.
What variables do we have to play with for gearing?
Tire size is the easiest one to change.....
Rearend looks like you have an option of 3.90 / 4.10 / 4.30.
Pretty much power and gearing are the variables. Tires are a given due to budget.
Adding hp everywhere with boost would probably be the way to do it, but that wont make the graphs look any different.
Can you explain the scaling? Just to make sure im reading this right
Sure. I want you to be able to print them out and lay them over top of one another. Since the scale on the right side is different among the charts, you can't do that.
The higher the number at each mph, the better.
It's sort of hp at each speed.
500 is better than 480 at 100 mph, for example.
The change in hp and torque will change the chart since speed / time changes iirc....
The clutch lsd is the same that came in the FC but it was only in the 13B first gen RX7s - model GSL-SE. Don't recall the years off hand, but because nobody realizes they're the same, the auction prices generally stay low.
