Dang. I'm a little pissed. Made an offer subject to my wifes approval today, offer was accepted, and then he sold it to someone else last night. Would have been nice if he had given me the chance to complete the deal first.

Amateurs. This is the Lion's Back campground in Moab.
But not when racing
Sorry to hear you missed it. When I'm selling a vehicle, the first guy to show up with money wins. Sounds like someone else showed up with cash while you were getting buy-in.
Nice bus, but was it the bus or the price?
These things are out there for easy money.

Can you buy a lift-van and get it register non-commercial?
I've heard that can be a problem with vehicles that have been used commercially all their life...the state seems to think they must remain a commercial vehicle.
Silver lining, silver lining. Hold out for something with that cummins 8.3, man. Having testdriven 3208,3208t, IH400,cummins 5.9 and that 8.3, it's all by itself. The others you have to just cane to get up to freeway speed, it takes forever even firewalled, and that's un fun and un safe. And you know yer gonna wanna tow yer race car with it.... Oh and making sure it rides and stops on air is mandatory. Either that or don't test drive something that is so equipped.

I have looked at a lot of class C and A motorhomes. I also owned a pretty decent travel trailer. But the build quality is universally crap. When I saw how well built that Bluebird was, I was sold. so is my wife now. She is moaning more about it than me, and wishes I had just bought it. So much for being thoughtfull.
I remember her reaction when I surprised her with two vintage Triumph's on the same day. I still have scabs and flashbacks.
Anyway, I am going to find another bus now. berkeley the made in China converted Ford vans.

TBH that sounds like a seller you wouldn't want to do business with anyway. I know it sucks, but who says the agreement would have held long enough for you to get to the bank and back?
When I get settled in my new job and the youngest dependent gets a little bigger, you'll have to talk me OUT of one of these!

Naw, you don't want a schoolbus conversion, 'less you're like 5'4". Headroom is nice. Hard to argue against that price tag though!

The outfit or the whole package?
