Probably easier than you'd expect.... Ford/Mercury did some testing of a 3.7 V6 NB. I bet there's at least some important similarities between the motors.

Judging by the picture, the intake and exhaust flow through the head is reversed vs stock NA/NB Miata.

Which does present some issues... but there is a crazy turbo MZR drift NB running around.
600whp sounds fun.

What are you on about? It's a 2.0 liter and is the same basic engine that is in the NC. Of course, it's a supercharged and a Ford version but... you could bolt on a mazda valve cover...

Sorry.... i was thinking V6 duratec at first. Typed before putting brain in gear.
The 600whp NB i referenced had the 4cylinder, though.

Is that 1200 lbs a hard number? Reason I ask is that it wasn't listed in previous releases. Some people suspect that the "620" is actually the weight in kgs, which would be 1364 lbs.
That beautiful body? I like Caterhams, Locosts, etc, but beautiful body they're not.
I like them for what they can do and how they perform and am glad I'm in the drivers seat so I don't have to look at it.,

Still more attractive than any exocar.

Still less attractive and less functional than a Festiva with the same powerplant, with probably the same cost in the build as buying used Z06.

Usually, the number refers to hp per tonne in a Caterham model. 310 hp implies 1000 lbs. But the press release doesn't actually say anything about that, does it?
I'm not sure I'd want this engine. I've never found the character of the MZR/Duratec to be terribly compelling compared to some other options. Unfortunately, it's the only engine offered by Caterham in the US these days. I wonder how that 1.6 Sigma in the UK feels?

Try a new Z06. I would rather have the Caterham any day though.

I pulled the 545kg listed weight from the press release. I then converted it to lbs using google conversions. I suck at teh maht.
