I have these two silver 2004 Prius. The left side one is a parts car. The right side one is not. Up to this point, my parts car has been sitting there as a nearly whole car and I've done very little. Its "off the road" for a bad ABS actuator combined with I took it's correct 12V battery. I took its good tires so its on crapy tires. The AC doesn't work, the windshield is cracked (minorly) and its good radio was pilfered and replaced with a crappier radio.
The parts car has front struts that are 5,000 miles old and a fresh right side wheel bearing too. The "good" car has bad front struts and a bad right wheel bearing. The task at hand is to swap the front uprights. Not a hard job in itself but the parts car still needs to roll. So, the job is two times RR front struts. I generally lack the motivation to do it and not looking forward to it....so, Make a Party of it!
Anyone else out there who sees wrenching as fun? I do, but to be honest the solo task of it just seems like hard work.
Any Ohio hommies down for a gathering? I'll probably start on this during the day tomorrow, Friday because the weather is dry and high of 80. Saturday then the weather stays dry till 6pm. Sunday even possible but some higher possible rain.
I should have everything needed but a good cord or battery impact wrench would be nice. Maybe another set of jack stands needed too. I have no lift. The work will be right there in my driveway.
