First thing I'd do is get my hands on the factory service manual. It appears you can access it from the Maserati website at https://www.maseratitechinfo.com/index.cfm?event=serviceliterature You have to create a username and password, and then it's not clear if you have to pay for it or not. Otherwise you can buy a CD-ROM copy on eBay, here's one seller: https://www.ebay.com/i/223510621219

You won't find anyone here who would discourage you from trying to replace the rear main seal on your 2014 Maserati yourself.

I, for one, would like to hear about the experience. The Ghibli and Quattroporte are stunning cars.

You must learn to swear in Italian when it bites you. Other than that it is a modern car, with the same negatives and positives as every other modern.
And repeat after me: It was put together by a person, it can be dissembled and reassembled by a person.
That first time you do some serious wrenching on an exotic, it's kinda spooky. After you've been into it for a while, it's just like wrenching on any other car, just with its own quirks. Like on an Esprit, if you can see it, you can't touch it. If you can touch it, you can't see it.
Are you absolutely sure it's a rear main leak? It's awfully new for the rear main to be leaking.
Don't forget, oil likes to travel and a weeping valve cover or line somewhere can make you think it's something further down.
A UV light and some dye in the oil can show you a lot.
