Looking just a little outgunned here ... that STi in front has more than double my power ... from just one of his cylinders! The 220D is rated at 59hp for the record.
Waiting my turn to go
A friend of mine managed to get some great action shots - see his complete set here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/37487273@N04/sets/72157634175547835/
I cropped a few below:

awesome. So how's PAX scoring work using hours?
Okay, that's pretty sweet.
I didn't get the slowest time of the day but I was the slowest overall. I've only auto-x'd a few times so certainly no expert. PAX didn't seem to give me too much of a bump. In fact my PAX seemed lower than a Rx-8. I dunno - it was just for fun for me anyway. Here are the times - http://lsccautox.fr.yuku.com/topic/216/master/1/#.Ub9ZQJzgctU

Sweet! I've toyed with autocrossing mine, but haven't been able to find a stopwatch with an hour hand.
Awesome! I have a strange desire to do something similar with a w123 300D turbo.

That is a very cool car and some very cool photos. Thanks for posting up!
That's a momentum car if there ever was one.
It did better than I though considering a lot of the bushings are 40+ years old. No power steering either. A novice driver and a slow car!
The big girl is getting down!

How is this car holding up?
Could I live with one of these as a daily driver?
I had one as a DD, maff. I suggest Something Else. Calling your shots when pulling out in traffic is a bit much, as in "Oh, there's a car coming and it's 2 miles away. I better wait." and finding one that hasn't 85% returned to the earth is going to be challenging. 26 MPG on Diesel. Cold AC from the York compressor that takes about 20% of engine output.

Spring for the 240D, or better yet the 300D if you want to attempt to keep up with traffic.
Freakin' rad! Liking the LTD as well.
In response to the daily driver query - I daily drove it for 7-8 months. Did just fine with very low running costs. I've parked it for the winter as I don't have a place to plug it in at work and temperatures can get cold during the winter (down to -40 for a couple days a year). It IS slow but not as bad as you'd think. Just roll down the window and take it easy!

And is that an LTD LX with the 5.0 in line, too? Two things I've NEVER seen together at any event.
Yup! Its an-ex Police car. The guy who drives really knows how to make it dance though the cones too.
