As an added bonus it uses the same batteries as a combo set I already had. Used it yesterday and it seems a solid unit. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-c3-19.2-volt-cordless-1-2inch-wrench-kit/p-00931305000P
Indeed! $50 off is awesome.
I went and bought one today, and got another $5 for allowing them to deny me a Sears card. In a little while I'll probably get the burly big lithium battery. Co-worker has a bunch of lithium-ion DeWalt tools and they last silly long on a charge.
Apparently I'm not the only one - they had 10 in stock this morning, only seven now.
I have the Snap On Lithium Impact, had to suck up it for the price, but it's enough to get the center lugs off of the Porsche Cup cars. They do need some attention about 6 months into their life as the bearings dry up and makes a god awful grinding sound. Luckily, Snap On man take it and sends it off to be rebuilt
Used the Craftsman C3 at work today, on a lark. The battery was done charging and I had a Civic that needed pads and rotors, and I thought, hey, experiment time. We had the wheels off last week so I knew they were properly torqued. Also I was too lazy to reach up and grab an air hose
WOW. This thing is friggin' awesome. Feels way, way stronger than a Longacre battery powered impact, which was my only prior experience with this species. Zipped the lugs off somewhere between my IR2135Ti and my Monster 3/8" impact (which is still plenty strong enough to zip off lugnuts). Also laughed at the caliper hanger bolts. Used it to take apart and put together the car and it took about 10 minutes to recharge the NiCads to spec.
I'll still upgrade to the gigundous Li-Ion battery in the future, but for now? Awesome. And way better than the $400 racing-specific cordless unit.
I have a used snap on 18V that I got for $175, worth every penny and then some. I rarely use air anymore.
I bought a Bosch one before the new li-ion batteries came out and I tell you what it's probably the best investment you can buy. Especially if you need something portable. It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it except for crank bolts. I also rented a larger plug-in Dewalt thinking it would take off the crank but had a laugh at how it compared to my Bosch. My only gripe now is that the batteries for mine is hard to find since everything has moved to li-ion.
They have all become very competitively priced now so it's easy to find a good one around $200+change.
I have a craftsman drill and impact driver (c3 li-on). Good to hear about the impact gun... I'll try to pick up a bare tool one day.
Which one do you have?

I got the first one, the 200 ft-lb model. Haven't had a chance to do more than test it, but it seems pretty solid.

Just went and bought this one, the $89.99 sale is still on, and I combined it with a $10 off tool over $50 coupon I got yesterday for buying a wrench, and got another $20 off with Shop your way reward bonus points cause I signed up for that program who knows how long ago(I have like .39 in points from random purchases). So TL DR, out the door price was $78.59 including tax and the protection plan.. Cheaper than the HF unit, at this price unless it's an expensive hammer i'd be an idiot not to buy one
