The 25 Hours of Thunderhill is one of my favorite events, because:
1) It's the longest endurance race I know.
2) Happens outside the schedule of most race series, so you never know who's going to show up.
3) There's always great variety in the entries across the six regular classes, and anyone can win after 25 hours of racing.
Our lovable high lord or magazine production, JG Pasterjak, will be making his 7th appearance at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill race this weekend. This event is one of his favorites, too, and thanks to the folks at RJ Racing and weekend-racer.com he'll be running again this year.
We'll have photos for sure, and we're working on setting up a live video feed from their car and/or their paddock area for you to watch right here on grassrootsmotorsports.com.
Stay tuned!
Oh hey, didn't know that was this weekend. I just moved back up there so maybe I'll go watch for a bit...
A quick shout-out to JG and my buddies (the dual Erics) in the Bloising Saddles E30:

Keep the sticky side down and the shiny side up guys!
Updates, photos and video shall be as frequent ans my schedule and connection allow. To start off with, here's me on the plane smelling my finger for some reason.

{serious face} You must be doing it wrong.
Anywho, I'm thinking about going up... It's about a 3-hour drive for me, and a good friend of mine works at the track. Not sure if SWMBO will go for it, though, and I have NO idea where I'd sleep.
Streaming video is proving to be very challenging.
Anybody know how to embed a player for streaming content from a dynamic server? Please keep your answers in monosyllabic bits so I can comprehend them and mail 'em to me.
I have it on good authority that JG has made it to California. The weather forecast calls for sun and balmy conditions. Not.

I believe the cold, cold rain is traditional for the 25 hour race.
Good luck everyone! JG, if the finger starts to smell like chocolate, it's time to sleep.
Yeah its definitely not sunny or balmy here. Its actually been below freezing the past couple of nights.

So, how'd it smell?
oh man you just reminded me a joke i used to play on friends during high school partys and this story is going to end rightttt here.
So i read Mr. Paul Walker is racing this weekend....
Little icky at the hotel this morning (in Williams, about 20 minutes south of T Hill). Not supposed to be a chamber of commerce weekend. 40s and rain. Maybe not great for a picnic, but quite a nice equalizer for those who stay out of trouble.
Heading to the track now. First round of pics and such in a few hours.

Yeah, watch out for Paul Walker. His MX-5 might have the dreaded Danger to Manifold! If it does come up, don't draft him, you may get a floorpan section in the face.

Wow... i just googled that. I had no idea that he actually races pretty regularly. Who knew?
It's an equal opportunity addiction. I wonder if he says, "..I need this!.." when he's borrowing tools in the paddock..
"...its not how you stand next to your car, its how you race it...."

First batch of photos up. Weather is improving. We didn't make sound, so we're working on that.

Don't worry JG. He never had you. He never had his car.
It's looking more and more like I'll be showing up.
I'll try to find my "+5HP" sticker for you guys and see if I can't convince Mr. F&F to run one on whatever he's driving, hahaha
You better be double clutchin... like ya should....
New batch of photos up.

This evening I'll be interviewing folks from Mazda and Honda about the cool new B Spec series, as well as the Turbo Honda CR-Z. Look for videos overnight if the internet gods are good to me.
