We had one we bought new in '81. 300 with a floor shifted 4 speed OD. I used to love holeshotting 70s "Musclecars" with it.
Also was nigh unstoppable in the snow with a decent set of tires on it. Near 19 MpG on the highway in overdrive. My favorite Ford engine...
Oh, and you can drive them away, unless they stipulate that you can't.
I did a bus and drive with a panel van Aerostar for a buddy from Mississippi to Chicago on bald tires. The battery was dead, so they jump started it, I drove to the nearest AutoZone, put in a fresh battery, and drove home in an ice storm. Good times.
(Yes, this exact van. But before he swapped the Torque Thrusts on)
BTW, 2nd panel Aerostars are horrible in crosswinds...

Its an 82 with a 300 and 3 speed. Its been about 20 years since I drove a 3 on the tree so I expect the first couple miles to be a little jerky. Luckily Bunta Fujiwara isnt hiring me to haul tofu. We are scheduled to pick it up on Saturday
