This is pretty cool
Yeah, if anyone hasn't seen it watch Dust to Glory it shows just how awesome these off-roaders really are.
That thing looked ridiculous going down the drag strip to turn that fast of a time.
Dust to Glory is a great documentary, and it's available on streaming Netflix. I gained a tremendous amount of respect for anyone who ripens the Baja 1000...
One of my favorite business trips was to go and do a few days with a Trophy Truck team. Seeing them run live is a lot more impressive than pictures or film- it's just stunning. If you get a chance- take it.
wow.. that truck on the road course looked like a ticket to seasickness.. I was truely awestruck to see how close it was to the Boss 302 in time

Logically it should be faster, with a light fuel load a competitive trophy truck has a full point or better power/weight ratio than the boss, and there is no wheel/tire or ride/handling compromise with the truck so if they set it up for pavement it ought to go quicker/faster.
But that would ruin the point of the video, because then instead of running out to a dealer to buy a boss, you may start thinking about building a stout small block powered ranger with big pre-runner flares, long travel suspension at a low ride height and wide wheels/tires, basically the Amurrica F* yeah version of a Division 1 European Rallycross car. And that would not do, simply would not do.

But a Boss 302 would be loads cheaper.
Heck, you could probably buy a Boss 302 for what the shocks cost, alone.
