That's the only truly new car I've ever bought, though there was a '94 EGT and a '97 Exclipse GSX demo/program cars way back.

One; an absolutely base model 1996 dodge neon. The only option was rear defrost. I got it left over in 1996 for $8600.

I only buy MY cars that way. The Mrs...toasters are best with warranties. I bought my 2005 2500HD diesel, from a dealer, put 40k miles on it, and could sell it for what I paid for it.

But I'll pay a premium to ignore 'her' cars.

I have a problem.

Only two, and pretty sure never again, but due to the fact that I don't like the direction new cars are taking, rather than the inevitable depreciation hit. Everything I buy is a "never going to get rid of it" kind of thing...until I sell it at an incredible loss.

'93 Geo Tracker-loved it. Still love all things Suzuki. Sold at an incredible loss.

'09 Honda Fit- love it. Wouldn't have bought new, but thought I'd be doing 300+ miles a day, and during the economic downturn, 100K used Matrix=$10,000. Brand new Fit= $15,000, and almost no depreciation for a couple of years, I was convinced. 85K miles now, I use it like a truck. (side note,there was a S2000CR on the lot for a ludicrously good price at the time. Nobody was buying new cars)

oh, and '05 V-Strom 650. Great bike. I am kind of an idiot for selling it for-you guessed it- a huge loss. Making payments did up my credit score, though.

I have never purchased a new car. Leased a couple, but never purchased.

only new car I bought was a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon. It was the ONLY manual on the lot out of 30 some tiburons. I wanted blue, but it was green and they were not about to get me a model how I wanted it.

About 2000 or so, I started bemoaning the lack of affordable, small, lightweight, fun-to-drive, RWD coupe offerings with decent-to-good gas mileage. I kept driving my AE86, promising to buy the first new affordable truly small lightweight coupe that came along. The RX-8 was close, but V-12 mileage with only 4-cylinder performance is a tough pill to swallow.

The only new car I've ever bought was my 2013 Scion FR-S.

I've bought a number of motorcycles new, but generally buy cars/trucks used. The Mustang was my first ever new car, and the Subaru and Kia were DD's for my wife. I like her DD to have less than 100k miles...

Not mine, I never defiled mine with a suspension fork. I deliberately bought the best rigid that they sold because suspension feels like crap. I did, however, stick a 400mm seatpost on it, because I had a 35" inseam and liked the way a 19" frame felt to throw around on trails.

Also not mine, bought this on closeout sale, confirmed that I didn't like suspension for trail work. Rode great as a commuter with slicks and fenders, though.

I think either one of those bikes cost more than any car I've purchased.

You need to ride bikes with GOOD suspension. Crap suspension does indeed feel like crap

And I bought my Rocky Mountain used.

I tried to order a new Cayman GT4 when they first came out, but couldn't get an allocation.

Will be buying the new JL Wrangler as soon as it's orderable, but that's for the wife.

We still have all of them with the exception of the Foreman and 07 Solstice....we traded that one for the coupe.

The last new thing for myself was the k bike, and we keep the wife in newish stuff after putting her in a nice used Audi one time....big mistake there, so now we like warranties for her. I generally prefer buying used, but sometimes new makes sense.
