The classic round element on single bolt air filter housing?
Chevy had them on TBI engines until 1996 on the 454. I imagine some heavy truck applications may of kept the TBI after OBD2 came along.

If sound was HP it added at least 50 HP to my cars. :-).
Wasn’t cool enough to do that when driving my parents’ ’78 Malibu but, looking back, should have. Dad would have approved.

At a minimum.
The sound of a Quadrajet opening the sewer pipe secondaries with the breather top flipped should be experienced by all car guys.
In reply to Toyman! :
LOL, the 350 in my boat has a 4 barrel and only a spark arrestor. It makes great induction noises when the secondaries open.
We used to flip the air cleaner cover on all the old E36 M3boxes we drove in high school, absolutely +10 HP.

Engine Masters actually tested the flipped air cleaner lid, and it was indeed worth actual measurable horsepower.
My father talks about how his best friend had a '75 Trans Am 400/4-speed, and that was when Pontiac was blanking off the back of the Shaker hood. They were out in the garage one night, got looking at it, ended up drilling some holes in the back and then using a hacksaw and file to remove the plug out of the back to get the cool Quadrajet noises.
