I started on the old board fresh out of high school in like 2003. Who knows what it was about, probably something 1G CRX related. I've been in and out over the years but knocking on 40 years old I'm still rocking hot hatches.

Somewhere on the old board circa 2002 probably. I was at Year One and my coworker Steve Hockenberry told me about the magazine. The forums looked fun so I signed up. My first post was probably about my Lincoln Mark VII.

and for the record we still have the Sierra and it's still awesome. Just rusty.
I think that it was in this thread. I tried to be helpful.

LOL. I found it. Amazingly, it was sarcastic as heck. I guess I really haven't changed.
Reminds me of something a friend of a friend used to say: "Don't ever change." -- T. Morgan, circa. 1989

Edited to include the actual post, in all its glory: "Yeah, wow. One of a kind. Lucky for us. Odds are pretty good I'll never have to look at that thing."

LOL of course I signed up and my first post was to buy a old cheap Mercedes sight unseen and fly and drive. The drive part went horribly but I did enjoy owning that car.
Sometime in 2016, looking for a way to mount rally lights on my NA because Miata.net didn't like me not conforming to their two chosen build types, being ultra stock or the full FM catalog.
I am thinking I posted on the old board. Was there a woman documenting a Ferrari build perhaps? If so my posts do not appear here.
I joined around '03 or so, maybe earlier, I think but, my first post on the new board was in this thread.
Ugh... the punctuation and grammar. It's embarrassing. I probably still make tons of similar mistakes but, I can't spot them... yet. LOL
Looking at SVreX's first post about people changing their screen names or images, I am inclined to agree, even though I am one of the Jackasses that changed their screen name. I was EggRoll on the old forum, IIRC.
Not long ago I went back and re-read some of my old posts and comments. I was pretty energetic, imaginative, and funny, if I say so myself. LOL
I read this gem the other day and had a decent giggle. I also had a short story I'd written about a species from Eta Aquilae that has butts where their faces should be and their daily struggles to integrate into office life in 21st century America. It was called "The evil Buttfaces from Eta Aquilae.". Sadly, both the written and remembered versions have disappeared.

5/12/08, a post about testing the new board. I think I was on the old board, so maybe another few years before that.
May '08. Pubburgers and I were looking at an MR2 (how you doing Pub??). But this is the 3rd -I think - iteration of the board and I was on the previous 2. I remember when they put another forum on the board for selling cars which made 2. I think...
First post? No idea, but it would have been some time in 2002. I attended the 03 Challenge and I remember some colourful discussion about the rules.
I used to poke the bear a lot back then
So long ago that it was on the original forum. I don't remember what it was about.
I was a dick so probably better left buried.

Or when we all chose bastardized forms of John Cougar Mellencamp?
Apple Coupar Melonseed, remember ?
😂
This thread is dragging up some memories!
Mine was on the old board; no idea what it was about specifically, but it was most likely a topic involving Toyotas, something front-engined/rear-wheel-drive, or something about the superiority of 4-cylinder N/A powerplants.
I have grown slightly as an individual since then. 😅

I was commenting about how cool someone's 2005 Legacy GT 5MT wagon was. The interesting part is I remember where I was. I was in my hotel room at the $2009 Challenge. It was my first introduction to all things GRM, and once I found out they hosted a forum, I joined up immediately, looking to see how other Challenge competitors were doing. Been here ever since.

Go to your user profile at the top of the forum. Click on "your posts" then choose the last page.
Your first post on this version of the board was 6/04/08 in a thread about the late great Bo Diddley
This doesn't actually work.
The posts are not ordered according to when I posted. They are in order according to the last post in the thread.
For example... my most current thread is the rant thread. But I haven't posted there in months. Someone else has posted there, and it bumped the thread to the top of my list.
This described search will show the oldest thread that people stopped posting in, not my oldest post. (Though they may be the same).

There seriously needs to be a couple of more levels beyond MegaDork. We have members who are approaching 50k posts.
You'll need to log in to post.
