Transporting a family of five is hard. Transporting a family of five WHILE LOOKIN' COOL is another world all together. That's why I want a Mercedes G-wagon. The thing is, I'm in the KW region. In Ontario. In Canada. With a money-eating Gen 1 Sienna. In a snowstorm. WHERE WOULD I FIND A G-WAGON??? Can anyone help me?

If it's any consulation, there is one driving around Manotick Ontario (Ottawa). He'll be sitting in the same traffic as you in the snow, so he's not any further ahead...but he does look cool??

G-Wagon? You're not thinking big enough. What you want is a Unimog:

If you mean the old, pre-Yuppie G-Wagen, then you'll have to get one in Europe. They're really cheap in Germany and if you buy one older than a 1985, it will be exempt from conversion to "US Specs." It costs about $1500 to bring one here (plus the cost of the G Wagen, of course).

Euro model. Got it. These are Canadian spec. Any car will pass. You're right on pre-yuppie. I saw the old one on CWD5

You won't be able to catch them. Unimog's are about as quick as a glacier.

A diesel G-wagon is quite the number, but I don't think I've ever seen one except in the mercedes magazines. I think they started making them in 1979 but hell if I know. I'm pretty sure it is the longest running production model for mercedes, but they are made in austria so that might not count.

I saw a Unimog at the Kemp Mercedes Museum outside of St. Louis. Its quite the place. I came at the middle of the day when no one was around so they took me to their shop where they do whatever restoration work is necesary. It was there where I was allowed to sit in the gulwing mercedes that was originally owned by the Shah of Iran, they also had a Unimog. Hey speaking of the two...

But anyway, Unimog is too small, this is what you need my brotha..

What you need is a HEMMT

Since you're in Canada, anything before 1995 will be allowed in. For the US, it's still 1985 and earlier.
