Just putting a feeler out there, I hear it all the time.

So who really wants to go downunder and go to the Bathurst 1000 to watch the V8Supercars.

I wanna go, by the way.

The most epic end to a 24 hour race.

If I ever go to Australia, I'm going to have it "coincide" with Bathurst.

IMO, Bathurst is the most watchable race of the year worldwide. To the viewer, it seems like a 1000km sprint race, with flag to flag intensity. The drivers have to use nearly all their racing knowledge every lap. The race is a testament to the professionalism of the drivers and the durability of the V8 Supercars. If I could watch only one motor racing event on TV each year, Bathurst would be it.

I am willing to find a price and co-ordinate a group of us going if I get some interest.

There is the option of the Melbourne F1 with V8Supercars in support also.

I would have loved to have gone to Bathurst a few years ago, but now I hear that you can only bring in 24 beers per person, per day.

I bring more than that to church.

Aussie, I am in if you decide to change it to the Melbourne Grand Prix weekend.

I love F1, and I could get in to watching SuperV8...

OK very rough pricing, all airfare is ex LAX it's not possible for me to do the fares from where ever you are.

The numbers makes a difference but we looking at about $1500@ for airfare, unless I can find a better deal in the meantime.

Package for the following is

Bathurst 1000 2010

Package Inclusions: 4 Nights Hotel/Motel or Dormitory Accommodation – 4 Days General Admission Tickets to the Bathurst 1000 4 Days Pit Paddock Pass 4 Days Track Transfers 1 Night Driver Forum & Party for 2 hrs – Fri 8th Oct in Bathurst with transfers from the track Selected Drinks – Finger Food – meet Holden or Ford drivers Booking and Ticket Handling fees Per Person Prices From $1200 Now

If it was to be the Melbourne F1

Package Includes v 4 Nights Melbourne CBD Hotels v 4-Day General Admission Entry to Aust. F1 GP & V8 Supercars v Exclusive 3 course Champagne Breakfast
v Exclusive Grand Prix Gala 26th March 09 -7pm -9pm – Selected drinks – finger food – Guest Speaker v City visitors guide and discount book
v Entry to the Eureka Skydeck v Booking and Ticket fees. $1150.00 Priced Per Person Twin Share

So without spending money we would be about $2700 for the event, I would recommend staying for a week longer and we can do some fun stuff. This is my home town, but that is a whole other story.

Do I get serious about setting this in motion?

Oh and remember you do need a passport

Ding ding ding. . . . I would have to save for two people. Me leaving the country without Mrs. Zero is like asking for a swift and not so pleasant death.

For which event?

LAX is easier for me, I have a friend there who can take care of us until we all get together and fly out.

We will be very well cared for...
