The left rear window regulator in the 202 gave up earlier this week. I have a new one on the way.

What do you use to lube the regulator? This is a cable and pulley system. As the original failed due to the cable rusting, I would like something which will not evaporate, but not attract too much dirt.

I know, just use some gp grease, right?

Any secrets?

I have also disassembled the right side to lube it also.

Maybe dry moly lube?

But from my experience, when they need lubrication they're not far from needing replacement.

I have heard that Honda makes some good stuff for this.

White lithium grease is the traditional one.

I have used white lithium grease in a spray can.

In reply to Woody:

I know about Shin-Etsu grease but I didn't think it was actually for the window regulator tracks itself (just for where the window glass itself meets the frame).

Is there another Honda grease for that purpose?

White lithium is the usual go-to. Wurth true glide (if you could find it) or Motul Tech Grease 300 would be on the higher end of good grease.
