Thanks for the info. Maybe one day...

More than you can afford, pal.
That is going to sell for more than any automatic, lift-top, Supra has ever sold for
But we shouldnt let this distract us from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec system exhaust.
In case anyone missed it, the Supra sold for $550,000.
Yes, that's quite a lot of money, but somehow it's not as much as I expected it to sell for. Well bought?
If we can call over-hyped and over priced stocks, "meme-stocks" then surely this is a "meme-car," right?

I think it might be up there with the Bullitt Mustang--sold for $3.4m. It's the Hollywood car that, more or less, defines a genre.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
So, I wonder, what would the Bullitt Mustang have sold for in the mid-80s...?

Good question. Probably not much.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I think your comparison is on target, but the F&F car is much 'earlier' in its history by comparison to the Bullitt car. The future is never certain, but I'd bet the buyer will do better than get their money back if they keep it for a while.

Just takes two collectors that really want it. I was watching Tevarish last night and I had no idea of the cult following the FF cars still have and the prices they are now getting. I also learned that a Tach I have in one of my cars is the exact one used in the FF cars making it kind of valuable?
Yeah FF might seem stupid to us, but there's a lot of people that maybe don't treat them as documentaries or anything but also don't yell at the screen the entire time.
I just watched the first one on HBO or something the other day.
Man, yeah, there's some really stupid things in it, as far as 'car' stuff, but it's a fun movie.
After that...
Interested in seeing how much this goes for

I couldn't make it past the part where generic character A is driving a car on a gentle curving course defined by about six SCCA regions' worth of new cones placed every three feet. A course that he'd apparently set up himself.
Oh I totally got kicked out of Movie Night in college while watching the first one. I made way too many snide comments.
