Acura ghost braking

I've always been suspicious of automatic braking systems.

I'm predicting a sudden spike in the sales of "I brake for phantoms" bumper stickers...

Here come the "unintended braking" lawsuits...

I don't like auto braking but I am sure no one here does.

But for some reason I just have the sense that 'article' was written by a computer program. Even though the author has a twitter.

Who woulda thunk it?

'We have to recall cars because they need new programming. One crash was caused in Japan because of this. BUT LOOK! Those silly Jeep people have crashed nine of em already due to a similar fault!'

Apparently the system is TOO intuitive.

I pull the fuse on the ABS in any American things I drive. The Volvo was programmed by engineers, not lawyers, so it can stay.

Auto braking is just fine for everybody else. I want no part of it.
