I appreciate the effort but seriously, I don't need it to pop up every time I get on the forum.  At this point it's getting really annoying.  Just make it a clickable thing somewhere on the page.

Yup.  Ima start looking for some way to disable it in my browser.  If it goes away, I promise I'll subscribe to the Classic Motorsports mag.  Been meaning to for a while, since the GRM mag is moving into stuff I'll never own, and I'm becoming more of a "Classic" myself.

Pop ups and any sort of auto-play video content are awful design elements.

It seems to come and go. I also find it annoying but like a hemorrhoid it seems to go away after a couple days.

Having cookies enabled seems to be the fix for this issue.

I get it about once a week. About as often as I get randomly logged out, though they don't seem to be directly related.

It's not a real problem at that frequency, but daily would be annoying.

Pop ups are annoying in general but at least you can click to dismiss them easily enough. Autoplay video or sound, on the other hand, is unacceptable in any circumstances.

I get it everytime I get on the board.  Seriously, enough!  Make it stop!

It seems to be on about a 24-hour cycle.  If I navigate to a different subforum, it goes away.  Not a big deal for me and if GRM is seeing and increase in $$ of it, then I say keep it.

The logging out of all of my devices every month or so seems odd, though.  I assumed it was a spammer killing initiative.

I part of the issue is that at least some of us (OK, I may only be speaking for myself) have their browsers locked down pretty hard because we don't necessarily want the usual data collecting behemoths to follow each of our sneezes around the Interwebz. That may make the issues with the various pop-ups, err, popping up worse if they rely on some sort of tracking-ish cookie.

I understand, and I agree the pop up can be a pain. Just know that us mods can't change anything about the pop up behavior. If you have the option to enable cookies on a per-site basis that it may help.

Understood, and I should've made it clear that I'm very aware that this is something the development team would need to address.
