Fuzzy (my son Calvin) ran his first 13 with the 260 powered 63. I was thrilled that we could run together. Two years ago, he made his first pass in a full sized car and we were lined up together. Me, his proud Dad, aahhhh Yaaa!!!.
Wow--too cool!!!
Those are two fantastic looking cars.

I'm also a fan of the gassers. Recently saw a 55 Chevy cheap and that was my plan, until I got to the rotten frame. I'm still on the hunt for something...have a line on some ex drag cars in GA and one might be a gasser wagon.

Please dont do that to a 63-5 fairlane.....
I enjoy gassers. I have always thought they were very cool. My dad is currently turning his 66 Chevelle into a gasser and it's killing me. I don't know I just feel like that car would look so much better as just a restored car or a pro-mod with a monstrous LSx build not a gasser.
Seen at Brown County Dragway last month:

Measure the kingpin to leaf spring length.
9" from center of kingpin to leaf spring centering hole.
i need to find out what i have so i can get disc brake parts for it, one of the backing plates is broken at the wheel cylinder.

Send a picture. At 9" I am betting it is a Ford axle. The Chevy's were closer to 13". I have (2)early Chevy's, (1) late Chev [55], (2)Ford Econoline, Model T, Model A, 46 Ford, and a total performance dropped to compare it too.

i'll take some and email you.
From the Winter issue of Rod and Kulture. If you look in the smoke, you can see Fuzzy's 62 driving up through the gap between the walls. Taken just before the pas in the video on the previous page.

getting closer. found out my front axle is from a 60's chevy van.
What exactly is the benefit of jacking the front end up, other than getting a particular look?
On top of weight transfer I think it had to do with some rule workarounds regarding engine position, also lighter and no camber curve, asymmetrical bump steer, etc so it lands wheelies better.
