Why the hate? I see a fair number of them around, they look cool too me and unlike the average Harley rider, the owners seem like responsible people out for fun who understand the concept of wearing a helmet and not pissing off everyone in a 1/2 mile radius with zero exhaust system.
I don't like the Can-Am as a sport bike replacement, but as a touring and trike replacement, oh yeah.

Goodness gracious, how did I not know about these? 800hp+, 1850 lbs, 24 square feet of wing that is active AND bolted directly to the suspension. A wide variety of chassis designs. All on a 1-mile track. Wowzers.
Why are these not racing at Indy?
In reply to Keith Tanner:
Because IRL. These things were developed from the old Indy stuff, and they're what's missing from motorsports today (ingenuity).
Woohoo!!! Fishing pictures!
well those are nice to look at
Now you know why I don't fish ....
Maybe he was trying to show these.
And the gills just got confused????

Because they kill a whole bunch of people on short tracks. Long tracks would be a monster.

Is this true? I'd have thought we'd have heard more about it if they did kill a 'whole bunch' of people. They look scarry as hell, but in a fun way.
Not a super modified, but I remember a group of people brought an old circle track sprint car to SCCA Solo nat's in 97 and entered A mod. They weren't fast in A mod terms, but they were big, fast lound crowd pleasers who had an awesome time. Did they ever go back? 97 was my one and only show.
Not a SuperModified, but doesn't something like this look a hoot for autocross? I’d be too scared to take it on a track, but man, for S&G it would be great for mowing down cones. I took these at the Gilmore museum a couple of years ago.
