Neat idea on paper, with better fuel distribution (venturi bore spacing was 4.38", right about the same as a SBF, so you had a venturi feeding 2 cylinders with a near straight shot). As I recall, they worked okay in a race application, where you could keep the engine on a boil at all times, but were miserable at low-RPM and cold-start, since they were basically four massive primaries. They made a single carb intake for Boss 302s and, supposedly, an ultra-rare dual-carb cross-ram manifold for Boss 429s. Personally, I think one on top of an 8-71 blower would be the hot ticket.
They were supposed to be run as an independent runner style carb. Two of them were a perfect setup for a 302 or 351C, as an American analogue to four 48IDAs.
They were adjustable like Webers, with jet/emulsion/air bleed assemblies you could pull out the top.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Barry Grant made a "Bad Man" inline Demon carb. I think they didn't make very many. But they do exist. No idea on the drivability, I've never met a person that's seen, let alone used one.

I wouldn't trust it. Barry Grant's stuff especially near the end, was really shoddy. I remember a Hot Rod Rescue (man, that was a great segment, I'm sad Hot Rod Mag got rid of that) where a guy had all sorts of issues with one of the Barry Grant Six-Shooters, their name for a tri-power setup. They dove into it and the whole setup was fundamentally flawed from top to bottom, never would have worked. I seem to recall the throttle blades even fouled on the intake. They got it to work eventually but it took a ton of reengineering. Then Barry Grant went bankrupt, he never drafted a plan to reorganize, and it was eventually liquidated. He made another company, Granted Solutions, and that also seems to have gone belly-up as well.
