I hadn't realized how different the bodywork is on the GT Mk4. Looks like they stuck some huge coolers in the rear, the doors are very different, even the shape of the side windows has been changed.

OK, the intake is a soprano saxophone, the exhaust is a pencil sharpener, and the pegs are woodstove door handles. But what is the rear brake bell crank made out of?

My football coach in middle school was a B-24 captain. He served in 1944 with the 758th squadron / 459th BG, based in Italy. He talked to us in one history class, but I don't remember him getting very specific. I wish I had known the rest of the story.
