I need some music suggestions! 0001 this coming Saturday I will be going from El Paso, TX to Harrisonburg, VA via Miata. I've made this drive a few times, but in a VW Golf, Dodge Neon, and loaded box truck. Biggest difference is, all those other times, I had a co-pilot. That's right, I'm riding solo. Haven't decided if I'm gonna take a long stop or not. I'm pretty good at distance driving. So maybe you guys could give me some music suggestions? Just a song or two. Please no artists. I don't have time to find their good songs

I Can't Drive 55. Radar Love.
I once did Vegas to Ormond Beach, Fla., without any kind of car audio. Yes, I'm an idiot.

Ramblin Man by Allman Brothers
Black Betty by Ram Jam.
I suggest, if you have an Ipod, to put these all into a single playlist and put it on shuffle. No music changes other than volume and pause the whole trip.

I did Orlando to El Paso once, and the night before the drive the CD player broke. Let me tell you, there's about 3 hours in Texas when you cannot get any signal.
@MTN, sadly no AUX plug in the Miata. Otherwise I would be doing that. Going old skool with CD's!

If you can get your hands on a copy of it-Allman Brothers Live at Filmore East. One of the best live albums ever committed to tape. If you can find the extended edition, even better.

Easy fix. Go to local Best Buy. Ask salesperson for Ipod radio transmitter thingy. Ipod radio transmitter thingy plugs into power port (cigarette lighter) uses an unused radio frequency to broadcast your Ipod through the radio. I bought one for the Mustang a couple years ago for a roadtrip and it was worth it. Get one that charges the Ipod as well.

How far things have come... and I've never had better than a cassette deck in my own vehicle.
If I do the radio in my car I'm going strait to an in-dash iPod dock

This works if you are going through an area with few radio stations. In Chicago, I gave up on it after a week as I'd have to change the setting every couple miles.

(entire albums)
Metallica - Load
Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell, The Mob Rules
Iron Maiden (all of it but... ;)) - Flight 666 Soundtrack
Led Zeppelin - III
Rolling Stones - Love You Live, Sticky Fingers
Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Rage Against the Machine - (self titled)
Janis Joplin - Greatest Hits
Sheryl Crow - Tuesday Night Music Club

I could go on for hours... but I'd also toss in some Allman Bros, a pile of old blues guitar and some cheesy 80s english pop like Duran Duran. Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries is awesome for blasting out a sunrise too.
Telegraph Road- Dire Straights -for late night work.

FTW
I won't leave the house without it. Used to load up the Kenwood Music Keg for road trips. Got Sirius a few years ago. I haven't powered up the Keg since then. More than enough variety that if you get board you can bounce around at random and guaranteed you'll find something you like.

Yeah--that pretty much sums it up for me. Best thing to happen to road trips.
+1 to Telegraph Road and the Sirius comments.
This album.
Edit: Just noticed you said a few songs. Well off that that album I would go with Blow Me (Like the Wind), Wasted Again and All My Friends Are Dead.
